At 1,815 feet, 15 inches, the CN Tower is a prominent fixture of Toronto's skyline and the world's tallest tower.

The tower was originally designed as part of a communications system for Canada's TV and radio networks. The name CN was derived from the railway company that built the tower, Canadian National.
Today, the tower is a major tourist attraction, with more than two million visitors every year.
Construction of the tower began in 1968 and was completed in 1976 for sixty-three million dollars. It was named one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World in 1995.
The Seven Wonders of the Modern World is a list compiled by The American Society of Civil Engineers, identifying seven outstanding landmarks and monuments around the world.
