Fact or Opinion?
First, let’s define what a fact and opinion are and then take a look at some examples of fact and opinion statements.
Facts are ideas that can be proven true and with which nobody can disagree.
For example:
These statements can be proven true and you can’t disagree with them. They are all facts!
These are all facts about you!
Now let's see some examples of opinions!
An opinion is how you feel or think about something. An opinion is something about which everyone can feel differently.
This is an example of an opinion. You may not agree with this statement, but that is okay! You may have the opinion that sea turtles are the best animals on earth, or maybe even tigers!
Here are some other examples of opinions:
These statements are how someone feels about something and cannot be proven. They are all opinions.
