What do these words have in common?
Verbs are words used to express action or being. In this lesson you will identify the being verbs and when to use them.
"Be" is the most common being verb. This table illustrates the different forms of "be":

Find the being verb in the sentences below:
In sentences 1 and 2, "was" is the being verb. In sentence 3, the being verb is"is."
