A pie is sweet! This girl can also be described as sweet. You could say the girl is as sweet as apple pie! Learn what similar things you can say with similes!
Comparing the sweet girl to a sweet apple pie is an example of a simile.
A simile is when you compare two different things that are not related. A simile always uses the words "like" and "as" to compare two things. You would use a simile to emphasize a point or make an image more vivid.
You'll learn some more about similes in a video. Similes will tell you more about a simile and give you a chance to think of your own examples!
