What comes first, eating a sandwich or making a sandwich?
If you said you must make the sandwich before you eat it, you are correct!
You would have no sandwich to eat if you (or someone) did not make it first. Putting things in the correct order, like making a sandwich before eating it, is called sequencing.
All stories you read have a sequence: the beginning, the middle, and the end. A story would not make sense if you told it in the wrong order. It would just be silly!
