How do cats see at night? Is there a way for you to see better at night? You will create a light box to do just that after learning all about vision and light from online and home activities!
They have special eyes that help them see even in the dark. If there is zero light, however; even animals with the best night vision would not be able to see.
Humans need more light than most animals in order to see.
We need a few other things to see as well like our eyes and our brain. Let's find out how these things work together to help us see!
Without light, you wouldn’t be able to see. It is a good thing we have the sun. Can you think of a few other sources of light? If you thought about electricity or lamps, great job! Also, if you thought of a camp fire, you got it! There are a lot of different sources for light, and they are all helpful when it comes to seeing.
Watch this Scholastic Study Jams video all about Light and take the quiz at the end. Have fun!
In addition to light, you also need your eyes and brain to see.
