Come follow a pattern of fun with videos, games, online painting, finger knitting, and lessons in Morse code! Learn the importance of patterns and how to recognize and translate them! DIT-DAH!
Look at these 2 patterns.
If you did, then you are correct!
If you look carefully, you'll see each pattern repeats 2 of the same objects. They are both AABB patterns.
The pattern AABB can translate or change into many different patterns.
Maybe someone has spoken to you in another language, and you didn't understand them. You need someone to translate what they said into English, your language.
When you translate words from a different language, the words mean the same thing, but the words sound or look different. It is the same for patterns.
The patterns mean the same thing, but they can look very different.
Here is the pattern AB translated 2 ways.
Even though one pattern is of apples and carrots and one has numbers, they still have the same pattern unit, which is AB.
The video below shows the AB pattern. Even though the pictures are different in each pattern, they follow the same rule and have the same pattern unit.
