Think about something you have to do, but don’t like to do.

• How would you feel if you had to do this activity for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, for 40 years?

Think about something you like to do. Imagine doing this for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, for 40 years.

Compare the difference in your feelings between the two scenarios.

• Can you imagine how different you would feel each day if you were doing something you loved to do, compared to something you don’t like?

So the key is to choose something you enjoy.

• Okay, what do you like to do?
• Do you think your chosen career relates to who you are?

What is a career?

A career is an occupation or profession you work at over a significant portion of your life. It typically requires some special training.

Every career falls under one of the 17 career clusters. Each career cluster contains occupations in the same field of work that require similar skills.
